About me

I am Aubrey Boyns, a graphic designer based in Forfar, near Dundee in Scotland. I am a Christian and married to my beautiful wife, Sara.

After studying Digital Interaction Design at Dundee University and Web Design and Development at Abertay University, I decided to make my skills and services available for hire. I have been designing for a few years now, and really do love it. I enjoy meeting new clients and helping them with their projects, as well as learning from them and their company.

Branding and logo design

Every company and organisation needs a logo. A logo is the first impression of your company, so it’s worth investing time and money to sure it’s a good one. Each branding project is just as unique as its company, but most can be fit into a basic design process:.

All projects will require me to learn and research about the company or oganistion in order to understand how and when the logo would be used, and to establish a suitable colour scheme. Most projects will then require me to learn a bit about the industry and competitors, to see where the company needs to stand out. I will then collect ideas and create some sketches for possible designs, which I will send to you for feedback. Following this feedback I will develop the preferred design, creating a few variations to choose from. Throughout this process we will be discussing the colour scheme of the company, which will then be implemented into the final logo and any other branding material such as buisness cards, letterheads and envelopes. The amount of stages and time I am able to spend on them will depend on the budget available for the branding project. As I said, each project is unique.

Web design and development

I offer a range of web design services from simple static websites and online business cards to Content Management Systems and e-commerce sites. Please contact me if you have a new website project, I would love help you with it.

Graphic and print design

I love spending time composing new designs for a range of print materials such as posters, post cards, flyers, invitations and t-shirts. A lot of my print projects have been for advertising purposes, some of which you can see in my print work.
