Branding Identity & Logo Design
Every company, organistion, charity and freelancer needs a brand. A brand is more than simply a logo, though a logo is a vital part of any brand. Branding a company is creating that company’s image - what people think about when they hear their name, what shapes & colours come to mind when the name is mentioned. There are many successful brands that are engrained into our minds, that we will think of just by seeing a couple of colours, shapes or even a certain typeface.
It’s nessacary to understand the importance of a brand, and the effect it has for your company, so you invest the correct time and money in to getting it right. There are few successul companies with poor branding. Logo Design Process
Each branding project is just as unique as its company, but most can be fit into a basic design process:. All projects will require me to learn and research about the company or oganistion in order to understand how and when the logo would be used, and to establish a suitable colour scheme. Most projects will then require me to learn a bit about the industry and competitors, to see where the company needs to stand out. I will then collect ideas and create some sketches for possible designs, which I will send to you for feedback. Following this feedback I will develop the preferred design, creating a few variations to choose from. Throughout this process we will be discussing the colour scheme of the company, which will then be implemented into the final logo and any other branding material such as buisness cards, letterheads and envelopes. The amount of stages and time I am able to spend on them will depend on the budget available for the branding project. As I said, each project is unique.
Deliverables
Once the logo has been completed, I will send it to you in various formats to make it quicker and easier to use. All my logos are created in Adobe Illustrator and allowing them to be scaled to any size you need. As well as the vector format, I will also send a .jpg and .png copy of the design which as useful for different medias. At this point, if agreed, I will also send you designs for you business stationary.
